As part of our mission to have a positive social impact in our community in Hong Kong, we hope to rehome, recycle, and reuse as many unwanted furniture pieces as we can to save them from ending up in landfills.
What happens to donated furniture?
Depending on the size and condition of the piece, we will either repair and refinish them so that they can be passed along to others who need them.
As we are also a creative therapy studio, many of our clients will use your donated furniture in their therapeutic process or projects. A great way to take care of our mental health is to give back, so all therapy projects are donated to charities, NGOs or individuals in need.
If we cannot donate a piece, we will resell the repaired or refinished pieces. The proceeds from the sale will then be donated to local charities or NGOs. In extreme cases, where very few parts are salvageable, we will reuse and recycle what we can for our workshops and classes.
We have seen many pieces that cannot be re-sold online, leading to people having to throw away perfectly good pieces. To stop this from happening, we hope to fill in this gap between reselling and throwing away good furniture.
