Driftwood Lamp Making

Create a lamp shaped by nature and your own hands.

In this hands-on Driftwood Lamp Making workshop, you’ll work with real, locally sourced driftwood to create a one-of-a-kind lamp. Each piece of driftwood is different, which means no two lamps will ever be the same.

You’ll start by practising key techniques on sample pieces before moving on to your final lamp. We’ll guide you step by step through shaping, assembling, and safely wiring your lamp, giving you time and space to slow down and enjoy the process.

This workshop is as much about making as it is about noticing the grain of the wood, the curves already formed by water and time, and how your choices shape the final piece. The session runs for around 2.5 hours, offering a calm, satisfying experience from start to finish.
